Chess Lions Bertrange club is celebrating a momentous victory as we clinched the top spot in the Division 3 championship. With approximately 25 players participating in this 10-round journey, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the season. Finishing with 8 wins and 2 draws, totaling 116 points, our team emerged triumphant, showcasing their prowess on the chessboard.
Within just two years since the club's inception, we have managed to ascend two categories, a testament to the dedication and talent within our ranks. Looking ahead, the team is poised to compete in Division 2 next season, setting their sights on even greater achievements.
What's particularly encouraging is that 90% of our team comprises young players, indicating a promising future for our club. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to this endeavor. Furthermore, we commend the commendable performance of our team B in Division 4. Despite facing stiff competition, they secured a respectable 4th place among 18 teams, demonstrating their dedication and skill on the chessboard.
As we reflect on this remarkable season, we are filled with pride for what we have accomplished as a team. With our sights set on new challenges and opportunities, we are excited to continue our journey, fueled by passion, determination, and a shared love for the game of chess.
